I don't "sell" computers, parts, or software. If, after examining your computer, I find that it needs a new piece of hardware or software, I will assist you in obtaining what's needed and then I will install it. Most computer problems can be corrected without any new hardware or software, in spite of what you may have been told by computer repair persons that do sell hardware and software.


I'm a retired person who does this to supplement my income. I'm not trying to make a full time living, I just want to help folks with their computers who may not be able to afford the services and prices of the big computer outfits.

I have been working with personal computers for over twenty years. I have educated myself in all aspects of computer service.

I will bring your computer back to its optimum operating condition. If I can't do that, there will be no charge.

I will instruct you on how to keep your computer at its optimum operating condition.

I will tell you exactly what my charges are before I begin working on your computer.


SERVICES

Malware Removal and Protection. Many computer problems are caused by infections from unwanted viruses, spyware, and adware. Any computer connected to the Internet is highly susceptible to these infections. After removing the offending infections, I will install protection for your computer. Believe it or not, there are free programs that do an excellent job of providing this protection. I will show you how to use these programs and maintain your computer.

Networking. Want to set up a home or small office network? I'll help you get it up and working.

Hardware Installation. Do you need assistance in installing a new piece of computer equipment? Upgrading your computer's memory? Replacing a component? Getting that printer to work? Modem problems? I can do all that, and more.

Tutoring. Recently get a computer and don't know what to do next? Need to find out how to do something with your computer? Let's talk.

HOW I CHARGE

My usual fee is $30.00 an hour, with a minimum charge of one hour.

I offer special discounts to senior citizens, veterans, and the disabled.

If I can't fix it, there is no charge.

I do not charge for travel anywhere within a thirty mile radius of Ault, Colorado. Beyond that, call me and we will negotiate.

I do not charge for what I call "learning time". If I'm not sure what is wrong with your computer. and I have to research the problem, you don't pay for the research time.

On rare occasions, I may have to take your computer home with me to work on it. Usually I can correct the problem at your home or office. If I do, I will return it as soon as possible. There is no extra charge for this service.

I accept cash and checks. Sorry, I'm not set up to accept credit cards at this time.
